# Take off Location

**Take off Location**: Allows you to place a take off location anywhere on the map.

This take off location allows the FlightPlanner tool to calculate the 10 second kinematic alignment waypoints and location of the figure 8’s, if being used. The actual take off waypoint will be set when powering up the aircraft and uploading the mission; this takeoff waypoint is for planning purposes only.
