# Calculate Distance

This tool computes the distance between two point clouds, or the distance between two sets of point classes within the same cloud. The computed distance is input into the points' **Distance** attribute (visible in the cloud visualization panel).

In the example below, Unclassified (01) points have their distance computed in respect to the Transmission Wire (14) class:
