# Create Floorplans

Floorplans are raster images of point density, and are designed for SLAM applications. You can specify time intervals to isolate a single floor in a building, or use [measurements](https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/spatialexplorer-8-and-9/user-interface/windows/measurements-window).

In the case that measurements are present in the measurement window, the Z elevations of said measurements will be used to assign the elevation-start of the floor.&#x20;
