# SDCImport Filter Options

SDCImport is a software tool created by RIEGL specifically for the conversion of scanner data files (\*.2dd, \*.3dd, \*.4dd, \*.rxp and \*.rms) in the the extracted data file format (\*.sdc).

The SDC file along with any associated files will be written in the same folder that your .rxp is in (ideally this should be your rover” folder). Now you can continue to use SpatialExplorer and fuse the data into a LAS/LAZ. When you add a file to process, SpatialExplorer will automatically look for this SDC file before looking for a .rxp when associating it to the .ldr. It is imperative to keep all of these files in the same root “rover” folder so that SpatialExplorer will take care of the rest.
