The LiDAR backpack can be extended upwards to increase the LiDAR sensors ability to see over objects or features. This can be done in real-time during acquisition and does not require the operator to power the sensor down prior to extending the boom,
Raising the Boom requires loosening the two friction lock knobs located on the back and front of the backpack boom. See images below as reference.
Once the boom is fully extended, rotate the friction knobs clockwise to lock the boom into place. No other changes to the sensor need to be made.
The boom is designed to not affect Rover settings found in SE. you will not need to remeasure lever arms between the IMU and GNSS receivers.
