# Settings Wheel

The settings wheel on the top side of the camera will only be needed when the camera default settings need to be adjusted while a monitor is connected to the HDMI port. Please refer to the section [Changing Camera Settings](/hardware-and-interfaces/camera/a6k-lite-camera/changing-camera-settings.md) of this manual, where you will also find step-by-step instructions on how to adjust the shutter speed and aperture.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Do not operate the settings wheel when no monitor is connected to the HDMI port. Otherwise, camera settings will be changed and you cannot confirm the changes without a monitor. If the wheel gets operated by accident, simply power-cycling the entire system will revert the camera back to the default settings.
{% endhint %}

The wheel can be clicked on all four corners and can also be rotated. Use the following graphic as a reference for the various functions:

## Menu Button

This button will access the Sony camera menu where further settings can be adjusted by navigating via the settings wheel. We do not recommend changing additional settings other than shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.phoenixlidar.com/hardware-and-interfaces/camera/a6k-lite-camera/settings-wheel.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
